Kaysia Peterkin
Kaysia is a compassionate child and adolescent clinical therapist with over a decade of experience supporting young people, families, and caregivers through the challenges of mental health, trauma, and anxiety. Her work is grounded in an integrative approach, drawing from cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), attachment theory, mindfulness-based practices, and trauma-informed care.
Guided by curiosity and connection, Kaysia thoughtfully tailors her use of modalities to meet the individual needs of each client. She sees therapy as a process of learning, un-learning, and rediscovery—supporting individuals as they make sense of the parts of themselves that feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unseen, while validating the coping mechanisms they've relied on.

“I believe that healing begins with self-compassion. By using approaches like CBT, mindfulness, and narrative techniques, I help children, adolescents, and families better understand the fears, expectations, and patterns that shape their experiences. My role is to walk alongside them with empathy, authenticity, and a touch of humour—creating a safe space to let go of what no longer serves them and embrace what aligns with who they truly are.
