An Ergonomic Assessment is designed to evaluate your workspace and daily tasks to identify risk factors that may contribute to pain, discomfort, or injury. During the assessment, a clinician will review your posture, workstation setup, movement patterns, and work habits. Based on this evaluation, you will receive personalized recommendations to optimize your workspace, improve posture, and reduce strain. This may include adjustments to your chair, desk, computer setup, or workflow, as well as guidance on stretching, movement breaks, and safe body mechanics. Ergonomic assessments are ideal for preventing work-related injuries and supporting long-term musculoskeletal health. Optional: For workplace or insurance purposes, a written report with recommendations can also be provided.

An ICBC Kinesiology session focuses on active rehabilitation to support recovery following a motor vehicle accident. These sessions may include guided exercise therapy, strength and conditioning, mobility work, and functional movement training tailored to your injury, goals, and stage of recovery. For optimal recovery, it is recommended to participate in both physiotherapy and kinesiology, as these services work together to manage pain, restore movement, and build strength and function. Please note: ICBC provides up to 12 weeks of coverage from the date of injury for both kinesiology and physiotherapy, subject to claim approval. If it has been more than 12 weeks since your accident, please inform the clinic prior to booking. Coverage is subject to ICBC claim approval; if your claim is denied or coverage has ended, you will be responsible for payment of the session.

Initial kinesiology assessment. This initial session provides a comprehensive assessment of your movement, posture, and overall physical function. We’ll review your health history, current concerns, and goals, followed by a detailed movement and postural evaluation. The assessment helps identify imbalances, mobility restrictions, and areas for improvement so a personalised program can be created to support your strength, mobility, and long-term wellbeing. Please note: depending on your extended health insurance coverage, a physiotherapy assessment may be required prior to this kinesiology assessment in order to be eligible for reimbursement.

Kinesiology Manual & Movement Therapy combines hands-on techniques with guided movement to support recovery, improve mobility, and restore function. During your session, a kinesiologist may use soft tissue release, joint mobilization, stretching, and corrective movement strategies tailored to your needs. This approach helps reduce pain, improve flexibility, increase strength, and enhance overall movement patterns. It is ideal for individuals recovering from injury, managing chronic musculoskeletal conditions, or looking to optimize physical performance. Sessions are personalized to your goals and rehabilitation stage, promoting safe and effective recovery. Please note: A Kinesiology Initial is requird to book this appointment. Your progress is closely monitored, and your program is adjusted as needed to help you reach your goals safely and effectively. A WorkSafe Subsequent Physiotherapy appointment provides ongoing care following your initial assessment. Your physiotherapist will continue to monitor your progress, update your treatment plan, and guide exercises and therapies to support recovery, function, and return to work. Please note: A WorkSafe initial assessment is required before booking a subsequent appointment. Fees for subsequent sessions are subject to WorkSafe claim approval. If your claim is denied or coverage has ended, you may be responsible for the cost of the appointment.
