Extended Child Therapy Session (75 Minutes) These extended sessions are designed for children who need additional time to process emotions, engage in therapeutic play, or participate in trauma-focused interventions such as Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART). We’ll recommend this appointment when extra time will best support your child’s progress.

Counselling services for children and teens from ages 4 up to age 11. Parent consultation may also be a component of this service.

These 75-minute sessions are ideal for clients who would benefit from additional time to process, explore concerns more deeply, or work through more complex issues without feeling rushed. Together, we’ll determine whether an extended session is the right fit for your treatment goals.

Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) is an evidence-based therapy approach that helps clients process distressing memories, trauma, anxiety, grief, and other emotional challenges in a way that is often faster and less overwhelming than traditional talk therapy. ART uses eye movements and guided techniques to help the brain create new, healthier ways of processing difficult experiences.

This is a follow-up appointment for individuals, couples, and families impacted by addiction, substance use, gambling, and recovery.

This is for individuals who are on short-term disability or WCB and need a therapist to provide them with counselling support specific to work-related obstacles.

It is important that you have a therapist who you have confidence in. The 15 minute phone consultation is an opportunity to ask questions and get a feel for my approach as a therapist - and you can decide from there what is best for you. A video call can be arranged if you prefer. Please note that as of July 20th 2024 counselling fee's for sessions will be $195 per 55 minutes.

Once this is booked you will then receive an invitation from your therapist to complete the Gottman Couples Screening. Once both screens are completed (individually completed) this session will be used to review the screening information to help inform your relationship strengths and areas needing assistance.

Due to the nature of couples therapy and the importance of having adequate time to support both partners well, Beacon Counselling and Coaching now offers 75-minute follow-up appointments for couples counselling rather than 55-minute sessions. This allows for a more supported, productive, and less rushed therapeutic process for all individuals involved.
