**Background**
Naz has returned to Lower Lonsdale, joining the team at Body Works Sports Physiotherapy, after first beginning her North Shore practice there in 2000.
Naz immigrated to Canada in 1999, having grown up in India, where her family had moved to from Iran. These experiences have provided diverse opportunities for growth both personally and professionally. Naz speaks several languages, which have allowed many of her clients in North Vancouver to communicate with her in their native language, including; Hindi, Gujrati, Pharsi, and English. While in Canada, Naz was introduced to sports she had not grown up in, including ringette, which she excelled in for several years. Currently, she’s enjoying being a mother to her son, and watching him follow in her love of sport and nature.
**Professional Training**
Naz received her Master of Science in Physical Therapy, with an emphasis in Orthopedics in 1997 from the University of Mumbai, following completion of her Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy. Naz has continued to focus her practice in orthopedic musculoskeletal conditions, including both sports injuries, and chronic conditions. Continued learning through ongoing post graduate courses have included developing her needling practice. Naz has completed advanced training in Acupuncture, Gunn IMS, and Gokavi. She has also developed her manual therapy, and movement systems retraining skills through professional development courses.
**Treatment Approach**
Naz believes that her many years of experience and training has enabled her to develop her assessment skills to identify the cause of biomechanical dysfunctions her clients present with. Her treatment approach incorporates a combination of; education, manual therapy, postural retraining, therapeutic exercises, and dry needling. This focus, combined with a loyal commitment to helping her clients, has enabled Naz to support her community remain active and enjoying their work and pleasure pursuits.

This is an initial assessment for people who have experienced a car accident and who have a new ICBC claim number. We require your approved ICBC claim number to proceed with booking this appointment. No doctor's referral is necessary. We do not charge a user fee if you book in for direct billing to ICBC.

You may need to schedule a second short appointment to complete the assessment or progress your treatment. Depending upon your specific needs, there may not be time to provide full treatment during the initial assessment physiotherapy session, and so you may need to schedule a follow up within 1-2 weeks after the burial to fully begin and progress your treatment and home exercise program.
