Slesha Shah is a Registered Physiotherapist specializing in pelvic health, providing care for patients across every stage of life. She has a special interest in working with children and teens (ages 4–17) with bladder, bowel, and pelvic health concerns, an area of practice she is especially passionate about.
**She provides care in English, Hindi, and Gujarati.**
Originally from India, Slesha moved to Ottawa in 2020. She completed her Bachelor of Physiotherapy from KLE University, India (2019), and a diploma in Fitness and Health Promotion from Algonquin College (2021).
Slesha began her career in orthopedics, but it was pelvic health that truly captured her heart.
Seeing how difficult it can be for people to find compassionate, knowledgeable pelvic health
care inspired her to create a space where patients feel heard and empowered throughout their recovery.
Her treatment approach is hands-on, evidence-informed, and individualized. She combines manual therapy, soft tissue techniques, biofeedback, and personalized exercise programs with practical education to help patients better understand their bodies and confidently manage their symptoms. She has a strong interest in exercise-based rehabilitation, focusing on restoring function, improving core stability, and helping patients return to the activities
they love.
Slesha treats a wide range of pelvic health concerns, including but not limited to:
● **Prenatal & Postpartum**: Labour and birth preparation, postpartum recovery, and
return to running and exercise
● **Pediatric Pelvic Health**: Bladder, bowel, and pelvic health concerns, including toileting difficulties, constipation, and bedwetting
● **Pelvic Pain:** Endometriosis, vaginismus, vulvodynia, and painful intercourse
● **Bladder and Bowel Health:** Urinary/fecal incontinence, urgency, frequency, and
pelvic organ prolapse
● **Menopause:** Postmenopausal pelvic health concerns
To further her expertise, Slesha has completed extensive post-graduate training through Pelvic Health Solutions in urinary incontinence, pelvic pain, trauma-informed care, pregnancy and postpartum rehabilitation, pelvic girdle pain, labour and birth preparation,
cesarean section rehabilitation, pediatric pelvic floor physiotherapy, and acupuncture and dry
needling.
She is currently furthering her prenatal and postpartum expertise through the Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist (PCES) certification with Dr. Sarah Ellis Duvall. She is a member of the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario and is committed to ongoing learning to provide the highest quality care for her patients.
Outside of the clinic, Slesha enjoys exploring new cafés, cooking, planning her next road trip, and staying active. She also loves spending time with her dog, Pluto, who is never far from her side.
