From a very young age, Natasha realized her life’s purpose was to help people. From an undergraduate degree in Biology, to a Masters in Teaching, to finally a diploma in Transpersonal Counselling Psychology – Natasha’s path to becoming a counsellor has been anything but conventional. Currently, Natasha is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists with over 5 years of counselling experience in private practice.
The focus of Natasha’s counselling has evolved over time from working with individuals, couples and families to working with women experiencing pregnancy and infant loss, infertility, and “stuckness”. Natasha values counselling that is caring, non-judgmental, guided by curiosity and supportive of the individual and their goals.
Natasha’s approach to counselling is a multidisciplinary one: which includes your spirituality, family systems theory, mindfulness, Cognitive and Gestalt therapies. Through the use of these approaches, she will look at the driving force behind your patterns and explore different options and perspectives. The counselling process is an opportunity to correct mistaken beliefs and develop an understanding of self and other in order to invite connection and love. Ultimately, as her client, you bring the content and set the pace for the course of your work together. She is here to support and facilitate you to reach your goals.
Natasha offers a free 15min phone wellness consultation to determine if the client and her are a good fit. Stay tuned for group counselling sessions geared toward families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss as well as a group for people struggling with infertility.

This online group is open to individuals who are having or have had miscarriage(s), seeking support in a group setting led, and facilitated by, Natasha Virani a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor This group looks at the science of miscarriage, the stages of grief, communicating the loss, coping with the loss, and finding ways to look forward. Introduction to the complicated pregnancy will give the learner a foundation for massage therapists to understand presentations of complicated pregnancies. The zoom style will allow for understanding presentations, considerations with assessment and treatment planning. We will be discussing the most common placental, fetal and uterine issues. We will also discuss fertility treatment and how massage therapy can support the process. Bring your curiosity and questions. Contraindications and precautions will also be addressed. The course cost is $525 >21 days or $600 <21 days before the start date of the course. At this time, for sanitation purposes, we are waiving the $45 rental fee for massage table, linens and oils. Students do not need to bring their own supplies.

Assessment and treatment of common presentations in the postpartum period will be discussed and practiced. Contraindications and precautions will also be addressed. The learner will have the opportunity to practice performing a full treatment and techniques on a pregnant client. This course will run from 9am-4pm. The course cost is $262.50 >21 days or $300 <21 days before the start date of the course. The learner will review boundaries, verbal and written communication skills and dealing with difficult conversations and ethical dilemmas. This workshop will include writing patient reports, writing boundary setting letters, writing dismissal letters and practicing verbal responses to disclosures of sensitive nature, difficult interactions and solidifying personal boundaries and comfort zones.
