AjouterNurse practitioner, Poonam Brar, is excited to collaborate with BioHeal Ottawa’s naturopathic doctors on complex medical cases. Poonam developed a growing passion for addressing gaps in women’s health and hormone care. For this, she expanded her education and clinical focus into functional medicine and Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), with an emphasis on hormone optimization, gut health, and overall wellness.

She has over eight years of experience in primary healthcare having completed her Nursing and Master of Nursing at York University and obtained her Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner certification through McMaster University. Before this, Poonam built a strong clinical foundation as a Registered Nurse in emergency medicine, spine surgery, and orthopedics. She values teamwork, compassionate communication, and building strong therapeutic relationships with both patients and healthcare professionals to deliver collaborative and comprehensive care.
Outside of her professional life, Poonam is a proud mother of three who enjoys spending quality time with her family, baking with her daughters, and enjoying simple family activities.

Not covered by OHIP, private healthcare appointment with an NP for Fresh/Acute tick bite & prescribing antibiotics. Patient MUST have an appointment with an ND prior to booking this appointment. If lab work is required, it will be covered by OHIP.
