Sophia’s interest in bodywork sparked at an early age and stemmed from the desire to work with her hands and healing of others. She obtained her BA Spec. Honours in Kinesiology at York University; thereafter, her diploma in Massage Therapy at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy.
Sophia’s clinical experience working in a multidisciplinary hospital and a massage therapy clinic has given her skilled hands and perspective into the multidimensional framework of healing and the human body. Her approach with bodywork has helped athletes at all levels of competition, accelerating recovery post-training and performance, and effectively treating various soft tissue injuries.
In addition to Sophia’s clinical practice, she is academically involved at Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy. She mainly teaches classes in techniques, therapeutic exercise, and her favourite, student clinics. Outside of her practice, Sophia enjoys her time with family & friends, being outdoors, and learning to navigate motherhood.
