Hi, I'm Sophia! I'm a Registered Physiotherapist specializing in Orthopaedic Sport Medicine and pain management at Femade Multidisciplinary Women’s Health Clinic. I am passionate about helping women at every stage of life through manual therapy, acupuncture, dry needling, exercise prescription, Pilates rehab, and education.
I have 20 years of experience working with the general population and athletes working in diverse settings including private clinics, general hospitals, and athletic settings in South Korea, U.S and in Canada. I have been practicing in Canada since 2019 and decided to focus on women’s health post COVID pandemic to help women with care in a warm supportive environment. I help women with neck pain, back pain ( both mechanical and neuropathic ), other musculoskeletal conditions, movement related disorders, postural pain, headaches, TMJ, prenatal/post-partum pain.

In this extended session, your physiotherapist will go over specific exercises for labour and birth to prepare your body for the big day, whether you are planning a C-section or a vaginal delivery! We encourage your support person to attend as well (spouse, partner, whomever is going to be there with you on the big day!) This appointment is booked at 34 weeks GA, following the completion of an initial assessment and is one part of our plan of care for pregnant clients.
