This is the standard follow-up appointment for current Athletic Therapy patients. Your appointment may include reassessment, manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, strength and mobility development, movement retraining, athletic taping, and progression of your rehabilitation plan. This appointment provides enough time to combine hands-on care with active rehabilitation and is appropriate for most ongoing injuries.

An extended appointment for current patients requiring additional time for complex or multiple concerns, advanced rehabilitation, gym-based reconditioning, or sport- and activity-specific exercise. This appointment is particularly helpful when progressing from early injury rehabilitation into higher-level strength, power, endurance, agility, and return-to-performance training.

A detailed assessment for athletes and active individuals preparing to return to training or competition, enter an upcoming season, or improve their physical performance. The assessment may examine mobility, strength, power, balance, endurance, movement quality, and sport-specific physical demands. Findings are used to identify remaining limitations, guide return-to-sport decisions, and develop an individualized performance or physical-preparation plan, and clearance to return to play required by coaches.

A focused appointment for athletes who sustained an injury during a recent game, practice, competition, or training session, typically within the previous three days. This appointment includes a brief injury history, focused assessment, immediate injury-management advice, and recommendations for the appropriate next step. Basic taping or support may be provided when appropriate and time permits. This service is intended to help determine whether the athlete can safely begin managing the injury, requires a full Athletic Therapy assessment, or should be referred for medical care or diagnostic imaging. **This is not a complete injury assessment or treatment appointment. Serious injuries or medical emergencies require urgent or emergency medical care.**

A brief appointment for sport-specific taping or supportive strapping of a previously assessed injury prior to a game, practice, or event. This service is available to current patients only and does not include assessment or treatment of a new concern. Standard taping materials are included. Additional charges may apply for specialty products.

Please select this appointment if you are new client for Athletic Therapy at Active Balance Health Centre or have a new injury that requires a complete assessment. Your first visit includes a detailed review of your injury, health history, physical demands, and goals, followed by a comprehensive musculoskeletal and functional assessment. Sydney will explain her findings and begin an individualized treatment and rehabilitation plan. Your appointment may include manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, movement retraining, athletic taping, education, and a home rehabilitation program, as appropriate.
