I attended UBC Okanagan (UBCO). I am trained in exercise prescription. I grew up playing competitive tennis and represented UBCO’s tennis club playing across Western Canada. Prior to joining Treloar, I worked as a Personal Trainer and I was also the head coach for the Special Olympics Powerlifting and Club Fit program.
I live and breathe health and fitness. I want to educate and reach more people in understanding the importance of prescribed clinical exercise and the ways it can facilitate those with pain. I want people to choose exercise as not just something to do when they are in pain, but something to do to prevent pain and become part of their routine lifestyle.
I am passionate about pushing myself physically! For example: doing a 5 rep max back squat 2 times my body weight, winning a 3 hour tennis match from being down match point, training for a half iron man race (cancelled 2 months before race date due to covid), and running 10km sub 50 minutes. I was not born with the greatest athletic gifts, I was never the strongest, fastest or had the best cardio; but with a written plan, discipline and relentless mentality, you can do almost anything you set your mind to.
