William (Yee Jin) Sung is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and
Acupuncturist with a focus on chronic and acute pain and internal medicine conditions. Using a classical, holistic approach to acupuncture, William draws on a wide range of tools and techniques to support you exactly where you are at this moment in your life. Each treatment is tailored to how you feel on both the physical, mental and emotional levels, and how your body and mind respond to it. You will leave each session feeling better, and the diet and lifestyle advice provided by William will empower you to lead your healing journey. Gradually, with you
on board, over the course of your treatments, your health will gradually improve.
William is fluent in English, Mandarin. He obtained his Bachelor's degree in Traditional Chinese Medicine/Acupuncture from Chengdu University of Traditional Chinese Medicine in China. The 5-year full time program included extensive training in acupuncture, herbal medicine, tui na massage, cupping, moxibustion, nutrition, and biomedical sciences.
He is certified in scalp acupuncture for chronic diseases and psycho-emotional issues. He has been fortunate to learn from a Daoist physician-monk. He has been practicing Chinese medicine and acupuncture for 25 years in both hospitals and private clinics in China and Canada. William is a faculty member at the Ontario College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (OCTCM), where his teaching style, skills and kindness are popular among students.
William has helped many patients with chronic conditions such as depression, anxiety, insomnia, and also chronic fatigue syndrome, migraines, IBS and other digestive but also respiratory issues, fibromyalgia and pain (back, shoulder, neck, knee pain). He has deep experience in treating paralysis, and post stroke conditions.
His humility and deep compassion for his patients led him to research and create innovative, effective pain management and mobility improvement techniques.
He had also studied New Acupuncture skills that reduce patients’ overall treatment times and shorten recovery. Under his kind care, you will feel heard, seen and healed in an effective, yet holistic way.
