Yunshi Christy Huang is a licensed psychological associate with the College of Psychologists and Behaviour Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO). She holds a Master of Psychology from Adler Graduate Professional School and holds a Bachelor of Science in psychology and economics from University of Toronto. She also speaks in English, Cantonese and Mandarin!
She focuses on a client-centered and evidence-based approach, tailoring her methods to meet the unique needs of each individual she works with. She sees therapy as a collaborative process, a safe space where growth, resilience, and positive change can flourish. Since 2017, she has been working with individuals with various cultural backgrounds, especially with individuals impacted by motor-vehicle accidents (MVAs) and workplace injuries (WSIB). She has experience addressing a variety of issues, such as depression, anxiety, trauma, stress, anger, pain management, personal development, and family and relationship conflicts. She uses a variety of techniques, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), Exposure Therapy, and Emotion Focused Therapy.

Your first psychotherapy session is a chance to explore your concerns in a safe, confidential, and supportive environment. During this 50–60 minute appointment, we’ll discuss your goals, personal history, and what you hope to achieve through therapy. This session also helps determine the best therapeutic approach for your needs moving forward.
