Extracorporeal Shock Wave Therapy (ESWT) is a non-invasive treatment that delivers shock waves to areas of soft tissue in order to promote appropriate healing and pain reduction. It is primarily indicated for subacute, subchronic, and chronic tendon injuries, as well as areas with calcification, such as plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinopathy, patellar tendinopathy, hamstring tendinopathy, lateral epicondylalgia (tennis elbow), medial epicondylalgia (golf elbow), and rotator cuff tendinopathy.
