Parent Intake Session

Stagiaire

This is the initial step for parents to obtain counselling services for their child. This session will include both legal guardians of the child. During this session we will review consent and policies surrounding the counselling process. We will also discuss presenting concerns, obtain background information and clarify the counselling process. *Both parents must be present for this session. If this is not possible for your situation, please get in touch with the clinic or set up a phone consult to discuss your options.

Most of this first counselling visit is spent talking through what has been happening, how long it has been weighing on you, and what feels hardest right now — with the rest on clarifying patterns, goals, and boundaries so you leave knowing how the work together could be structured.
