Literacy Tutoring

to schedule a subsequent therapy session. During this time, I will work with your child to complete activities addressing the Five
Pillars of Reading - Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary and
Comprehension. Using the initial assessment results, I will determine strategies to
target these areas while also integrating self-regulation activities such as body breaks
and other movement-based tasks. Your child will have individualized instruction to keep
them engaged in fun and challenging games and activities. As we work through our time
together, I will regularly reassess your child’s progress and communicate next steps for
the learning.

Most of the session is spent doing the speech work itself — practising sounds, words, sentences or conversation, trying cues and strategies, and checking what changed since last time — so you leave with specific exercises or techniques to keep using between visits.
