This acupuncture treatment is best booked once several 1 hour appointments have been completed, or we have discussed that this treatment length is more appropriate for you. This appointment will be more treatment-focused, with less time dedicated to discussing your symptoms or health concerns. If you have new symptoms or health concerns that you would like to focus the treatment on, a 1 hour appointment is recommended. This treatment will include acupuncture, as well as various modalities of TCM such as cupping therapy, tui na massage, and gua sha, when applicable.

If this is your first time booking, please select this appointment. This appointment will include a detailed intake process as well as an acupuncture treatment. During the intake process, we will discuss your past health history, medical conditions, health concerns, and current symptoms. With this information, I will create a personalized treatment plan based on the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, that will address the root cause(s) of your current health concerns and symptoms. This will be followed by a treatment that will include acupuncture, as well as various modalities of TCM, such as cupping therapy, tui na massage, and gua sha, when applicable.

LED light therapy is a cosmetic enhancement modality that uses wavelengths of light to stimulate the skin's natural healing and regeneration cascade, stimulating collagen and elastin. The red and blue light combination produces cellular energy which signals the skin to repair, improving skin texture, tone and elasticity while reducing fine lines and wrinkles, inflammation, acne-causing bacteria, and excess oil production. ($142.60 including HST) This appointment will be focused on treating the targeted areas of the skin and goals for the treatment, that were discussed within the initial assessment. A treatment plan will be followed that will be based off a diagnosis made during the initial assessment, which will be implemented in order to treat the disharmonies within the organ and meridian systems that are manifesting on the face. A follow up cosmetic acupuncture treatment may also include the use of the following adjunct modalities: facial cupping, gua sha, facial tui na, and LED therapy, which are selected based on the applicability to your diagnosis and/or skin concerns.

This appointment will include a detailed intake process, where we will discuss areas of concern on the face, details pertaining to the body system as a whole, as well as goals for the treatment. After the intake process, you will get a cosmetic acupuncture treatment. Cosmetic acupuncture works by stimulating the production of collagen, as well as bringing blood and qi to the face when points are activated along the facial meridian lines. A cosmetic acupuncture treatment also involves the insertion of needles in distal areas of body in order treat the root cause(s) of disharmony within the organ systems and meridians that are manifesting on the face.

An initial assessment is required prior to booking this session in order to properly diagnose and apply the appropriate modalities. This treatment includes the combination of cupping, gua sha, and tui na massage therapy to relieve pain and stagnation, all of which are modalities practiced within the scope of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Cupping therapy involves suctioned cups being placed and/or moved along the skin/muscle area pertaining to the affected area(s)/meridians. Gua sha involves the use of a smooth stone tool applied to the skin/muscle in repetitive strokes to the affected area(s)/meridians. Tui na therapy is a manual hand therapy applied to the skin/muscle area pertaining to the affected area(s)/meridians.

This is a facial treatment that involves gua sha, cupping, sculptural tui na massage therapy, and LED red-blue light therapy on the face and décolletage. It is intended to target skin concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles, discolouration, texture and tone, promote lymphatic drainage, and aims to contour and lift the tissues of face while promoting healthy blood flow to the area. This treatment will leave you feeling relaxed, refreshed and glowing, without the use of acupuncture needles. Please note this treatment may not be covered under most extended health benefit plans.
