### Shivohn Peters B.Kin
**Kinesiologist**
Originally from British Columbia, Shivohn grew up from a young age playing multiple different sports all throughout school. She fostered her interest in how the human body works and love of movement by pursuing a degree in Kinesiology focusing on exercise science.
She continues to find new ways to move her body, from roller skating to yoga to obstacle course racing and everything in between. She has a personal philosophy of continuing to learn new things and has completed a 200 hour Registered Yoga Teacher training and is currently working on a nutrition certification.
After graduating with her degree in Kinesiology, She started working in disability management. Helping people access appropriate care and recover from injury so they are able to return to work. However, She has decided to come back to her roots and work with people hands on.
She is a big advocate for making health and fitness accessible to everyone no matter where they are in their health and fitness journey. She loves being able to work with people and provide them with the skills and resources needed to help get them to where they want to go.

Soft tissue release is a hands on therapeutic technique used to relieved muscle tension, improve flexibility and restore optimal movement patterns. This treatment targets tight or overused muscles, fascia, and connective tissue through precise pressure and movement to break down adhesions and promote healthy tissue function. During your treatment the Kinesiologist applies specific pressure while guiding the muscle through a range of motion, helping to release restrictions and improve circulation. This can be effective for both acute and chronic muscle tightness, postural imbalances and movement related pain.
