AHS Musculoskeletal (MSK) ASSESSMENT
This Alberta Health Services funded program is available to children or adults who have a general joint, muscle condition or injury (e.g. sprain or strain), and meet the low income thresholds.
This process MUST be initiated by calling the Rehabilitation Advice Line at 1-833-379-0563 prior to booking your appointment.
To be eligible for this program, you must provide your physiotherapist with the following documentation upon or prior to your first visit:
1) Low Income Declaration Form
AND
2) One of the following:
- Government benefit card
- Benefit approval letter
- Canada Revenue Agency GST letter

Most of this first physiotherapy visit is spent figuring out what’s driving the problem — history, movement, strength and hands-on testing — then some treatment if there’s time, and you leave with a clearer picture and a plan for what comes next.
