In a child and youth counselling first visit, most of the hour is spent at the young person’s pace — talking, drawing, playing or sitting alongside them while the counsellor watches how they engage, asks gentle questions, and gets a picture from them and often a parent, so you leave knowing how future sessions are likely to work.
