This follow-up appointment with one of our Senior Pelvic Physiotherapists allows time for hands-on treatment, exercise progression, education, and addressing multiple concerns. When appropriate and with your consent, treatment may include an internal pelvic floor examination and/or treatment to assess progress and guide your care plan.
These sessions are often recommended during the early stages of treatment to help you achieve your goals efficiently and ensure continuity of care.
As your symptoms improve and you become more independent with your treatment plan, future appointments may be transitioned to 30-minute follow-up sessions when appropriate.

Most of this visit is spent checking what changed since last time and doing the treatment itself — guided exercises, movement retraining, hands-on techniques or taping — then adjusting your home program so you leave knowing what to keep doing until the next session.
