RCSW Clinical Social Work (Virtual)
A Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) with a Master of Social Work (MSW) with clinical specialization who has demonstrated advanced standing in clinical social work practice following the completion of 1600hrs of supervised clinical practice and passing the ASWB Clinical Exam.
Upon admission to the Alberta College of Social Workers (ACSW) Clinical Registry, a RSW is granted permission to use the protected titles of Clinical Social Worker (CSW) or Registered Clinical Social Worker (RCSW) in recognition of their achievements as an advanced clinical practitioner by the ACSW and the profession. These services are considered equivalent to those offered by a psychologist.
