Psychotherapy is the use of psychology methods to help you explore your thoughts, beliefs, and behaviors and develop new ways to approach life's challenges. This counseling service includes individual therapy or sex therapy. A registered provisional psychologist is an individual who is in the process of completing supervised hours under an experienced Registered Psychologist as part of the requirements of the College of Alberta Psychologists. The supervision includes a combination of video review, oversight, and case consultation. Following the completion of the EPPP licensing exam and completion of 1600 hours, a Registered Provisional Psychologist may apply to become a Registered Psychologist.
