Registered Provisional Couples Counselling
Couples counseling or marriage therapy is a form of psychotherapy designed to improve communication within your relationships and resolve relational conflicts. This counseling session includes Couples Counseling or Sex Therapy for Couples. A registered provisional psychologist is an individual who is in the process of completing supervised hours under an experienced Registered Psychologist as part of their requirements of the College of Alberta Psychologists. The supervision includes a combination of video review, oversight, and case consultation. Following the completion of the EPPP licensing exam and completion of 1600 hours, a Registered Provisional Psychologist may apply to become a Registered Psychologist.

Most of the hour is spent talking through what’s been happening, how you’ve been reacting, and what patterns keep showing up — your counsellor asks questions, reflects things back, and helps you put words to it — so you leave with a clearer sense of what came up and what to keep noticing between sessions.
