Somatic Exploration Session

This 2-hour session offers a gentle, body-centered approach to understanding and supporting your nervous system. Through breath, somatic exploration, and vagal toning, we’ll assess patterns held in the body and explore ways to support regulation and resilience. Combining somatic touch with talk therapy, sessions include supportive table work, using therapeutic rocking and deep tissue techniques to help release stored tension and nervous system holding. This work can support symptoms related to stress, trauma, anxiety, and nervous system dysregulation—such as sleep disturbances, physical tension, irritability, and difficulty settling. All touch is offered with consent, and the pace is guided by your comfort. Please wear comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement.

What it is

Most of the hour is spent talking through what’s been happening, how you’ve been reacting, and what patterns keep showing up — your counsellor asks questions, reflects things back, and helps you put words to it — so you leave with a clearer sense of what came up and what to keep noticing between sessions.
